Thanks to all who came to see The Open Cage, and to all the brilliant people who  worked on the project.

As for my other current projects: only 5 days left to see Hardeep Singh-Kohli's Bollywood-Molière adaptation The Miser at Tara Arts (which I'm MDing).

And OperaUpClose's new production of Tosca (with my instrumental arrangement) is up, running, and in full swing at the King's Head...

Tickets selling fast, do book and come along!

The Open Cage premieres this weekend at The Yard in Hackney Wick. Book tickets here!

Alone in his workshop, deep in the labyrinth which he built and in which he has been trapped for years, the great inventor Daedalus is putting the finishing touches to two giant pairs of wings...

The Open Cage is a new one-act opera. Scored for two singers, with an ensemble of acoustic and electronic instruments, the piece uses an array of visual media in its unique retelling of the Icarus myth.

Just So Update

16 Days until the world premiere of Just So! Everything is coming together marvelously - the (fantastic) cast is finalised, we have an M.D., I've finished the vocal score and we go into rehearsals next week...

A massive thank you to everyone who has helped us with casting, to those who came to audition and to everyone who has donated to Just So. We're doing well money-wise - up to £600, so nearly there. If you haven't donated yet, but have the inclination to throw a few quid our way, it will really help with covering all the myriad costs (new ones seem to emerge daily...), not to mention the far-too-small fees for our wonderful performers. And don't forget to book tickets...

Gig with Chris McDonald at The Bedford, July 4th

It has taken several years of playing in bands, but at last I have a gig in my own local music venue!

Have had some cracking gigs with Chris recently, would be great to get some people down for this one.

The Bedford is probably S London's best music venue, only 2 mins away from Balham station, so do come down if you're free.

Turns out that last week's sound guy had a cunning little audio-out feature on his mixing desk... and Rivers Of England have uploaded some of the resultant live tracks!

How about this version of The Meadow Sways? Yeah!? http://snd.sc/KHPxmT
